FABSCRAP is a non-profit organization that collects and recycles textile waste from the fashion industry. Their current website is not optimized for their target audience and lacks a clear and user-friendly information architecture. This project aims to analyze FABSCRAP's information architecture and redesign its website to better serve its users.
the problem
The challenge for this project is to conduct a thorough analysis of FABSCRAP's current website, including user research and feedback, to identify areas for improvement in the information architecture and user experience. In addition to improving the website's functionality, the challenge is also to reevaluate FABSCRAP's branding and propose a new direction for the website's design that reflects a more sleek and luxurious feel. The proposed branding direction must elevate FABSCRAP's brand and differentiate them from other non-profit organizations, while also helping to communicate their mission and impact more effectively to their target audience.
Goal
The project will begin with a thorough analysis of FABSCRAP's current website, including user research and feedback. This will help identify pain points and areas where users may have difficulty finding information. The team will then develop a new information architecture that is more intuitive, easy to navigate, and better organized.
The next phase will involve designing and prototyping the new website, taking into consideration FABSCRAP's branding guidelines and user needs. The team will create wireframes and visual designs for the new website, including new content and visual elements.
Solution
Additionally, during the analysis phase of the project, I reevaluated FABSCRAP's branding and proposed a new direction for the website's design that reflects a more sleek and luxurious feel. The new design will utilize a refined color palette and typography that will elevate FABSCRAP's brand and help communicate their mission more effectively to their target audience. The proposed branding direction will also help differentiate FABSCRAP from other non-profit organizations and position them as a premium service provider in the textile waste recycling industry. This will be reflected in the design elements such as the logo, imagery, and overall aesthetic of the website. The goal of the redesign is to create a visually engaging and emotionally compelling website that motivates users to support FABSCRAP's mission while providing a seamless user experience.
